O.G WORK PORTFOLIO
Owen Griffiths: 22, Level Designer, UK.
Currently in my 3rd year, I've been stemming for games design since college. One of the most valued principles in the games industry is Level Design, and that's where my heart is at.

I love games which focus on story/level development. Games such as Last of Us, Portal, Little Nightmares, The Occupation focus on how the player must interact with the environment to progress through the story or small intricacies which trigger an event which makes the player want to delve into it more. These two pillars of game development is what I love to focus on. My career goals in life is to be able to design a level in any type of game which makes the player think of how to go about accomplishing a part by accessing areas or equipment by progressive level design and understanding mechanics.
Companies like Supermassive Games, TT Games, Naughty Dog, Ninja Theory, Media Molecule & more which focus towards single player experiences.

STATIC
Horror Game
Static is a vertical slice, based in an abandoned film set in the Beverly Hills. You play as a news reporter, when news broke out that there’s potential paranormal activity in the Hollywood Boulevard, you must check it out to have your breakthrough in the media industry.
As this game is a Vertical Slice, this is what to come – The game introduces a small narrative before the paranormal activity and during the search in the slice. If this got approved by a game company, I would change up the story and make it so the player searching gets killed & when the main character (after prologue) comes to the house it sees the aftereffects of how the person got killed and how crazy the activity went on that night – Making it into a game Similar to Little Nightmares, Outlast & Resident Evil.

This was my first project coming into the 3rd year, and down the line I learnt more and more about Level Design. This level shows a little demo of what could happen in this game.
